The Sun and Moon

The Moon is one of the most beautiful things in the sky.
It is good at many things.
It is known to be popular, to be fair, to be noble, and strong.
To be the sky's light in the starry night.
Something not afraid of the future and it's challenges,
Something not afraid to try new things.
Something not afraid to express things that were never possible.
Not a something, but a someone.

The Moon is a person.
Always searching for love, and always receiving it.
They are naturally blind to all love they receive, but to love they give, they can see perfectly.
They always know how to charm people, be sincere and sweet, and sensitive.
Sympathetic.
The Moon has another half.
It's significant other.
The Moon is the adventurer, the journey. (To find what they are looking for, they'll go to no boundary.)

The Sun shines brightly, and is one of the happiest things in existence.
It is good at things, but shy.
It is known to be fair, and introverted but easily confused.
It is said to be the center of kindness, innocence, and purity.
It shines brightly than anything but doesn't want to admit it.
It is something, no someone, who's heart is open and understanding to anything.

The Sun is a person also.
Always receiving love, and always getting jumbled with it.
The Sun is never blind to love, but deaf to leaving at last.
The Sun is the brightest thing in the sky on a hot, sunny day.
The Sun too also may sometimes be searching for its significant other as well.
The Sun is the Answer, the ending to the journey. (They'll remain where they are waiting for the right time.)

The Sun shines brightly on the Moon at night, giving it, it's radiant light.
It's ability to shine as it does.
The stars write our crossed fates clearly as they too shine from the sun.
The Sun and the Moon are halves of each other, Day and Night.
Always shining, and wandering, searching for the love they crave.
They desire.
They deserve.
The Sun is you.
The Moon is me.

Requiem Resolve ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.
a.k.a ~ Chikane.

I'm writing a requiem,
For those whom are lost.
Their lives paying inevitably,
Directly to the cost.

An encumbrance that could not be avoided,
Nor problem fixed.
The lament still felt by the living,
has not segregated but, mixed.

Pain is not separated by a race, color or gender.
To it, we all surrender.
It overwhelms our hearts, our minds, our souls...
Doomed to play these dreary roles.

I'm writing a requiem.
For those whom are lost.
Their lives paying inevitably,
Directly to the cost.

The sky that gleams its bright blue hue,
Brings hope above my head.
The mystic and enchanting night,
Seems to keep me awake in my bed.

The sun that shines so brilliantly in the daytime sky,
Melts the ice upon my skin.
The moon that reflects its beauty above me in the night,
Truly starts my heart again.

This warm feeling, it feels strange.
Something inside me is beginning to change.
It's changing form and starting anew,
Unknown to many, it's inside you too.

I'm writing a requiem.
For those whom were lost.
Whose lives paid inevitably,
Directly to the cost.
But, no more does it cost a soul,
A life,
A dime or penny.
Because, all the souls that were so desperately trapped...
Have now been set free.

.... Lost they are no more. ~

Untitled ~by Nicole-Alexandra.

From the depths of the deep, dark night.
To the surface of the bright, new day.
Through the perilous and bloody fight,
To the embrace of lover's eternal, shared in numerous ways.

From the seas of my flighty soul,
To the waters of the fluid heart,
In this Earth, there is a hole,
I fell into when we spread apart.

There's nature here in all of us.
You just have to bring it to life.
There it is, emerging from the dust...
And the barren lands of strife.

There is no bond more beautiful.
No bond stronger than we.
At my heart strings you seem to pull,
Trying to set me free.

Alas, I only am trapped more...
I'm shivering in the silence.
I hear you knocking at the door,
I have not answered it since.

Since that day my heart is pained,
These scars you deal me cut me deep.
What, really, truly, have I gained?
All I can do is weep.

Why do I see this pain now, when I look at you?
My voice is as soft as a whispering sound.
But, yet, I get drawn in by your blue oceans so blue.
And again, I am found.

I hurt and ache and show my scars,
I get up, I fight, I push and shove.
Never did I think this "feeling" would take me far...
This little "misfortune" we call love.~

From This Agony ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.

From this agony walks the broken souls of yesterday,
Yearning and striving to live another way.
But only one result can come of this act,
Their hearts will be broken, no longer in tact.

From this agony emerges the darkened spirits,
Toiled by the encumbrances of diseased wits.
But only love can make them light again,
It starts with a smile, not in vain.

From this agony rises the depraved emotion,
Scarred and bruised into its slow erosion.
It crawls so impotently on its hands and knees,
That no heart nor mind will it be able to seize.

From this agony ascends the battered love,
Tortured through its time by the angels above.
Seen so oft by the footfalls of hell;
If you're ailed with this kind, I wish you well.

From this agony there is no turning back,
Crying and screaming will have become your knack.
This heinous monstrosity quickly conquers your heart;
It's flavor not sweet but somewhat tart.
So from this agony, a dismal future is told;
It takes over your body, makes you cold.
But from this agony, there is no escape;
Sadly, you're stuck to it like tape.
So be careful of the next decision you make:
Because the breath you speak it with might be the last you take...

From this agony walks your broken soul, live yesterday;
Yearning and striving to live another way.
But, only one result will come of this act,
Your heart will be broken, no longer in tact. ~

Wow~ Chikane you never cease to amaze me in writing. These poems are really well-written and you must've spent a lot of time on them~ O-O

My favorite one is the Sun and Moon. ^^ When I first came to the site and looked around, this made me want to stay and hopefully meet you. :3 I thought it came from Kannazuki no Miko. But when I googled it up and found out that you actually wrote it, I was really surprised.

Why thank you, Himeko~

There is a fact that I did not know. The poem of the Sun and Moon poem had in turn led you to stay here. And I most certainly did not know you wanted to meet me. But, I do thank you. You treat me as if I am a princess, and I am nothing of the sort. I just happen to have a lot of things given to me, a person, whom for absolutely no reason, has others "sacrificing" themselves for me. Giving their passions and souls and hearts away to me, it's a useless effort, although I appreciate it. I do feel guilty. But, that is a story for another time.

I can't help but thank you once more, your kind words inspire me to write. You and the many others who say kind things. It did not take me long to write these poems, in fact, it took me 20 minutes of the same day, maybe less. If you wanted to know that, but, I will continue to write of course. ^^

Prose: Love vs Agony ~ A War Not Worth Fighting.~ ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.

Love.

It's something we all feel. It's something we've all experienced. It's something that crawls beneath our skin, that which, is out of our control. A disease of the mind and heart to be devoted to someone whom may or may not return your feelings. It is a impulse felt that gets your adrenaline pumping. You are ready to die for this person. You are ready to live for this person. This person IS your EVERYTHING. Where does this love life? Where does it stay? It resides locked up in the crevices of your heart. In the deepest recesses of your mind. It is buried so far deep into your subconscious, it plays its hand in your dreams when you sleep. It shows its face in your aspirations for the future. And, more importantly, it renders you breathless and helpless to resist its charm. Its power and allure.

Agony.

It's something we all feel. It's something most have experienced. It's something that shrouds us in a fog, a mist that no one can see through. It hides your true identity and emotions behind a mask, a facade that no one can see through. The empathic eyes that so readily watch you are no longer looking. The common touch of the hand and warmth of an embrace is not there, it isn't felt, but merely changed. The warmth transformed to cold and wintry, icy sensations. The hand, a frost of snow that has landed upon your shoulder, its destination being there. Its purpose to slow and freeze you to. To guide you to your demise. It is a dying rose, a broken heart and the bare trees in the winter. It is the negative in all of us. It is the evil within us, that courses through our blood and veins, one that is brought to life and amplified by these harsh feelings that surge through you. But, now, we question: To what source must be accredited to this strife, this loss and pain that seems endless? This darkness, this depression and stress that has befall the heart and shattered its glassy appearance to nothing but shards? Agony. Alas, no matter how much we may try to resist. No matter the placement yourself, what stage you happen to be in. Denial, acceptance, or plain lunacy. No matter the cost or the gain or how wet your hair gets in the pouring rain.. you still cannot resist its pull, its power and allure.

Love and Agony. They are like two kids holding hands walking down a friendly road. They go hand in hand, heart to heart. They are like shiny coin that you always seem to possess no matter how many times you "lose it." They are like twin blades that cut you deep and scar you severely, make you bleed and yet experience the euphoria, the high of the fight. To say that they are twin blades, it could be considered a misdemeanor, a wrongful statement. I correct myself: They are two sides of the same bloody sword. Both have done their damage to your heart... AND..
BOTH HAVE MADE IT STRONGER.

Delirium ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.

Inside my head, there is a war.
Conflicting thoughts down every corridor.
They clash and rub and even fight,
Trying to win with all their might.

Inside my head, there is confusion.
My heart gets involved with its optimistic delusions.
But then my heart is caught too,
Stuck to its dreary fate like glue.

Inside my head, you'll never be.
It's too complicated for even me.
It's too dangerous to understand.
A place no one shall enter, no creature, woman or man.

Inside my head, everything's locked.
Some secrets you find, you may be shocked.
But no one will ever enter my mind...
You may not like what you find.
If I allow you in, that'd be committing a crime.
It holds my memories; past, present and future to come with time.

But if I allow you in, you won't be pleased.
Instead you'll catch my dreadful disease.
For all attempting to get inside my mind and read my every thought,
Your attempts will fail as soon as you start, my lesson to be taught.

For all attempting to get inside my mind and decipher every emotion,
Your attempts will fail as soon as you start, you'll be swept away by my heart's oceans.
There's a reason I don't let anyone in,
If I do, it'd be a sin.
"Why?" "What's wrong?", I get asked from my friends... sensing this aura I omit.
I can only shake my head because I must protect you from it. ~

Kryptonite ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.

The world could end tomorrow,
And yet I'd still be here.
But, I will not be in sorrow,
No, I will not shed a tear.

There is death all around me,
And yet I can't feel a thing.
I cannot feel confused nor happy,
I cannot even sing.

My eyes are blind to the nightmares' present sight,
My ears deaf to the screams.
And yet, I am still, I do not feel fright..
For a moment, I am at peace it seems.

The agony and the terror that exists,
The chaos and anarchy that's here,
This phase is only a midst..
The real horror and fear.

But, see, I have superhuman strength,
A superhuman heart too.
And it's true I'd go to great lengths,
Just to protect you.

I'll move mountains and hills and even skies,
I'll fight my way through a war.
All this just for the look in your eyes,
I want to see it once more.
So not to die and yet to live, it must be quite a sight,
What is this power beyond this world? It must be Kryptonite.

And even in the world's end,
My arms will still be here,
We can die with smiles if we play "pretend",
And imagine this is unreal till we all just disappear.

But, I'll build a smile in heaven, I'll learn to smile with glee,
and I'll smile all day long, because you're there with me.

The world could end tomorrow,
And yet I'd still be here.
But, I will not be in sorrow.
No, I will not shed one tear. ~

Sanctus Obscurum ~ by Nicole-Alexandra.

Sanctus Obscurum.
Words that mean so much to me.
It mostly describes the human life,
That's been drowned a tear's sea.

Sanctus Obscurum.
Words that repeat themselves in my head.
They leave me without thoughts,
and all my emotions left unsaid.

Sanctus Obscurum.
Many ask what this does mean.
They grovel in their own confusion,
few and far between.

This hopelessness that devotes itself to human nature,
It clings and sticks to the evils in hearts, giving them "insidious allure."
This iniquity that makes itself at home within the premise of someone's mind,
It's an incurable disease that infects you, one of the terminal kind.

The malicious deeds that people do just to get attention.
The atrocious crimes that occur everyday only cause more tension.
The dreadful deaths that happen by another's hands,
Those unlawful beings that did walk among the chaste are now from their own life, banned.

The sins committed with love's name,
The acts of rebellion performed merely as a game.
The terrible pangs of sympathy that course within your blood,
The agonistic town in your mind that your river of thoughts do flood.

Why does all of this happen, why are people so cruel?
I guess why is because when we fear the unknown, we tend to act like fools.
The crazy desires that pierce your heart, and overwhelming guilt to come.
The same words repeat in my head: Sanctus Obscurum.

SIDE NOTE: Sanctus Obscurum is Latin for, "Holy Darkness." Enjoy. ~
